Communities & Outposts
Most Slipworlds are doomed fragments — temporary and unstable. But on rare occasions, the Singularity produces something different: stabilized mini-worlds that don’t collapse. These pocket realms are exceptionally valuable, not only because they’re habitable, but because they contain deeper time distortions and the remnants of ancient structures far older than the Empire itself.
At the heart of each stabilized world lies the shattered remains of a colossal gate, believed to have been built eons ago by the same forces that created the Singularity. These relic-worlds become flashpoints for the major factions, who claim them and grant access to Trailblazer Communities capable of managing them.
These player-run societies establish Outposts — fortified settlements built directly on these stabilized Slipworlds — and gain access to rare resources, unique biomes, powerful blueprints, and the gate itself.
Outposts are incredibly valuable. But they also come with responsibility.
The Cost of Power
Each Outpost requires ongoing upkeep: resources, crafting materials, defenses, and manpower. In return, the Community that maintains it gains its own private Slipworld — a steady supply of rare loot and the opportunity to shape a foothold in Providence.
However, stabilization doesn’t mean safety. When Community members leave their Outpost and venture into the wild biomes surrounding it, the world becomes accessible to outsiders as well. Even on “their” world, Trailblazers must contend with:
hostile wildlife
unpredictable anomalies
rival players
factional political pressure
Ownership offers opportunity — not immunity.

Community Activities & Control
Communities can launch a wide range of activities from their Outposts. They may choose to:
keep their Outpost fully private
open it to allied groups
turn it into a trading hub
host events or challenges
share their Slipworld for mutual resource farming
or guard it fiercely for strategic advantage
Outposts become living social hubs shaped directly by the people who inhabit them. These player-driven choices define the political landscape of Providence’s endgame.
The Endgame: Raids & Titans
As players progress, Providence shifts from small-scale expeditions to massive, community-driven conflicts. The stabilized Outpost worlds hold the key to this transition.
Inside each Outpost lies the dormant portal gate, tied to the remnants of the ancient war. When powered, it can summon a Titan — a colossal, raid-level creature unlike anything found in normal Slipworlds.
Unlocking a gate requires a coordinated war effort: gathering resources, defeating powerful enemies, earning faction support, and rallying large numbers of Trailblazers.
The factions that control these gates demand loyalty and assistance. Communities granted Outposts hold a decisive advantage — they can run the gate on their own terms:
keep access exclusive
share the raid with allies
or open it to Providence at large for political leverage
Every Trailblazer, whether a solo survivor or part of a vast Community, must choose a faction and support its war effort. The more they contribute, the greater the rewards — including rare materials, powerful gear, and influence at the edge of the Singularity.
