Version 1.01 Released

Crafting

Crafting is the backbone of progression in Providence. Every meaningful item in the game — from weapons and armor to tools, deployables, and advanced components — originates from the hands of Trailblazers. Nothing is granted for free. Everything is built.

Players acquire resources and blueprints through gameplay or from the player marketplace. Once back in The Hub, they can use these materials to craft new gear, upgrade existing equipment, or prepare specialized Loadouts for future Slipworld expeditions.

Blueprints, Recipes & Progression

Crafting relies on two forms of knowledge:

  • Blueprints (limited-use): Rare and valuable, often requiring refined or optimized resources.

  • Recipes (unlimited-use): More common, offering consistent crafting opportunities.

Most advanced blueprints require materials that have been refined — sometimes multiple times — before they can be used. This ties crafting directly into exploration, harvesting, refining, and the broader economy.

Player-Created Items

Nearly every item in Providence comes into existence through player crafting. When an item is crafted:

  • A new asset is created

  • The item can be used in gameplay immediately

  • Or traded freely within the marketplace

This system ensures that value is always tied to player effort, resource scarcity, and the risks taken inside the Slipworlds.

Crafting isn’t just a mechanic — it’s the engine that powers Providence’s economy, progression, and player identity.
